【CAS双语科学】蛋黄也能“安然无恙”?章鱼仿生吸盘来救场

实验室里,一只机械臂慢慢伸向碗里的生蛋黄。科研人员屏住呼吸,生怕薄薄的蛋黄膜被弄破。然而,机械臂前端的“吸盘”轻轻一贴,一提一放,蛋黄完好无损,连指痕都没有。

In a laboratory,a robotic arm slowly reached toward a raw egg yolk in a bowl. Researchers held their breath,afraid the delicate yolk membrane would break. Yet the suction cup at the arm's tip gently attached,lifted,and released — the yolk remained intact,without a single mark.

这只“温柔的手”来自中国科学院兰州化学物理研究所。团队研发的国内首款自适应水凝胶仿生吸盘,让机器人第一次真正学会了“轻拿轻放”。

This"gentle hand"comes from the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences. The team developed China's first adaptive hydrogel-based bionic suction cup,allowing robots to finally master"gentle grasping".

天生的“黏附大师”
Nature's"Adhesion Master"

章鱼的每条腕足上都有成百上千个吸盘,能在湿滑、粗糙甚至多孔的表面牢牢吸附。它们柔软可变形,像垫圈一样贴合表面,既稳固又不伤猎物。研究人员希望复制这一“智慧触感”,让机器人也能温柔抓取。

Each of an octopus's arms is covered with hundreds of suction cups that can firmly attach to wet,rough,or porous surfaces. Flexible and deformable,they act like cushions,gripping securely without harming their prey. Researchers aim to replicate this"smart touch",enabling robots to grasp gently.

From Jelly to Suction Cup

研究人员设计了一种超分子水凝胶,利用强弱氢键的配合,让材料既柔软又不容易撕裂。然后,他们用3D打印技术打印出带弯曲薄膜和微小通道的吸盘,实现对不同表面的自适应贴合和温和吸附。

To achieve this,the team chose hydrogel,a jelly-like soft material that can deform,sense,and recover — ideal for bionic suction cups. They designed a supramolecular hydrogel using strong and weak hydrogen bonds,making it soft yet tear-resistant. With 3D printing,they produced suction cups with curvature membranes and tiny channels,allowing adaptive attachment and gentle grip on various surfaces.

让机器人学会“温柔”
Teaching Robots to Be"Gentle"

这款仿生吸盘可以装在机械臂上,稳稳夹起豆腐、蛋黄等超软物体而不损伤。它的应用前景广泛:在深海探测中抓取脆弱生物样本,在医疗领域用于非侵入性贴附或手术辅助,在柔性制造中搬运精密零件。

This bionic suction cup can be mounted on robotic arms to safely grasp ultra-soft objects like silken tofu or egg yolks. Its potential applications are wide-ranging: collecting fragile samples in deep-sea exploration,non-invasive attachment or surgical assistance in medical settings,and handling delicate parts in flexible manufacturing.

从模仿章鱼到超越章鱼,这只“柔软的吸盘”,正在让机器人变得更聪明,也更温柔。

From mimicking octopuses to surpassing them,this"soft suction cup"is helping robots become smarter — and gentler.
